Shuiyang Forest was formed in the aftermath of the 1999 earthquake, when a landslide dam unexpectedly flooded a quiet grove on the mountainside. As the water rose, the grove of Cunninghamia trees was submerged, and to this day, their pale, weathered trunks still stand silently in the water, creating a hauntingly serene landscape.
Tucked deep within Sun Link Sea Forest Park, this hidden lake has become a favorite among hikers and campers who seek solitude and natural beauty. In the early morning, soft mist drifts across the glassy surface, and by night, stars reflect clearly in the stillness of the water, making the forest feel timeless and untouched.
This ink is a tribute to that quiet melancholy. Its gentle gray-blue-green tone, with a subtle hint of pink, mirrors the shifting hues of the water, bark, and sky. Ideal for reflective journaling or soft, atmospheric sketches, it captures the silence, depth, and quiet wonder of Shuiyang Forest.
